The Browns had one of the worst records in NFL history last year upsetting the Chargers for their only win of the season. Expect more losing in Cleveland next year even though the Browns seemed to actually have drafted good players in Myles Garrett, Jabrill Peppers, David Njoku and DeShone Kizer. The Browns will win more games but don't expect the playoffs any time soon.
Arrivals/Departures:
Arrivals: Kenny Britt, Jason McCourty, Calvin Pryor, JC Tretter, Kevin Zeitler,
Departures: Robert Griffin, Andrew Hawkins, Josh McCown, Austin, Pasztor, Jordan Poyer, Terrelle Pryor, Tramon Williams

Offence:
Who the starting quarterback remains in a question in Cleveland as Brock Osweiler, Cody Kessler and rookie DeShone Kizer battle for the position. Osweiler was a bust in Houston after receiving a $72-million contract while Kizer may not be ready so that leaves the starting job to sophomore Cody Kessler as he tries to improve on a weak rookie season. If Crowell is used more effectively running the ball he can add another element to the offence and backup running back Duke Johnson can also add to the team with fullback Dan Vitale taking snaps from the backfield too. The Browns signed 1,000-yard receiver Kenny Britt in free agency to be the number one target for whoever plays quarterback while Corey Coleman starts beside him after a disappointing rookie season. Rashard Higgins and Ricardo Louis will be the other two receivers used in the offensive scheme regularly. Miami tight end standout David Njoku fell to the Browns late in the first round and he will be relied on heavily to start his career. Left tackle Joe Thomas is still the Browns' best player and best offensive lineman in the NFL never missing a snap in his career and will continue to dominate the trenches. With the additions of Kevin Zeitler and JC Tretter in free agency and with Joel Bitonio still in Cleveland, the Browns will have one of the league's better offensive lines. Shon Coleman and Cameron Erving will battle for starting the right tackle job in training camp.

Defence:
First-overall pick Myles Garrett will be who everyone watches in September to see if he can live up to his potential. Garrett will have the ability to bring JJ Watt and Von Miller sack seasons to the Browns for years to come if he reaches his full potential. Emmanuel Ogbah and Danny Shelton will start with Garrett on the line while Desmond Bryant, Carl Nassib and Caleb Brantley give the Browns good depth on the line. Jamie Collins was traded for part way through last year to bring a veteran presence and leader to the defensive side of the ball as he plays linebacker like the league's best. Joining Collins will be solid Christian Kirksey and Dominique Alexander as they try to improve the defence from last year's disaster. Joe Haden no longer ranks among the best corner backs in the NFL but he is still above average and will shadow the best from each team. Jamar Taylor starts opposite him with longtime Tennessee Titan Jason McCourty backing them up. Do-it-all Jabrill Peppers out of Michigan, who seemed to play every position in college, will start his NFL career as a safety where he spent the majority of his time under Jim Harbough. Off-season pickup Calvin Pryor will team up with the rookie and free safety Ed Reynolds will go in if Peppers struggles early on.
Special Teams:
Cody Parkey and Zane Gonzalez will compete for the field goal kicker job in training camp and preseason One of the game's better punters, Britton Colquitt, will once again punt but the Browns hope he won't be used as often. Jabrill Peppers will be given the opportunity to shine on special teams but if he falters, Duke Johnson and George Atkinson will get a shot in the returning game.
